Specter's running of the committee has been very impressive in all of these hearings. He is doing an excellent job. I don't agree with those that trash him. Yes, he was unfortunate in the Bork hearings. That was a long time ago.

This is Specter's Last Hurrah. I think he is executing his chairmanship of this committee with exceeding grace and humor. I actually like him this week, although I've never voted for him.

I have been amazed by Specter. I guess he was just pushed far enough.

It made me long for the days when Senators used to jump over the tables and slug each other.

I wouldn't have minded seeing Kennedy and Biden getting decked.......
