I think people are missing the boat on the Abramoff scandal.

Why hasn't anyone begun to question the power of Indian "gaming" interests-including the team of lobbyists, lawyers, and considerably more shady, illegal partners, which serve as advocates for these sovereign casinos-and ask why they are exempt from government oversight?

I can understand the reluctance of politicians-who are bought and paid for, and who've seen the damage these groups can inflict, e.g. the defeat of Slade Gorton, on people who get in their way-but why is the media almost uniformly ignoring this aspect of the story?

Not just Abramoff. Why hasn't their been an indepth investigation into George Soros and Peter Lewis and their manipulation of our government -- oops -- forgot, most of the people at justice are still dems.... so, of course, they won't go after them.

I did read on Powerline Blog that Harry Reid is in the top five of the Abramoff scandal.
