Get ready for Michael Eisner, talk show host. Eisner, who vacated his CEO post at Disney last year after a shareholder revolt, has landed his first post-Mouse gig he will host a twice-monthly talk show on CNBC titled "Conversations with Michael Eisner."
Eisner stepped down as CEO of Disney last September but his exit was not his choosing......forced out after an aggressive push for his ouster by Roy Disney, nephew of company founder Walt Disney.
Ex-General Electric boss Jack Welch has co-hosted CNBC's morning show "Squawk Box," and former Vanity Fair and New Yorker Editor Tina Brown had her own talk show, which was canceled due to low ratings.
The show will be taped in studio 8-H the same place Eisner began his show biz career as an NBC page.....where I was a page for the 'Tonight Show with Johnny Carson' in the 1960s," Eisner said.

Watta guy. From NBC page to Disney CEO, then direct to cable. Whatever Mikey thinks he has to say, most Americans won't be listening.
Isn't 8-H where Toscanini conducted the NBC orchestra? Oh how far they've fallen.
Disney's Gay Day impressario goes cable.
Take notes for me. I will not waste a single electron to watch this liberal POS.
Figured you wouldn't be watching Mikey-----however, we will have to wait for the (gag) reviews, b/c I won't be watching either. LOL
ping
MSNBC just DOESN'T GET IT...all the people they think are important or have something important to say mean NOTHING to the rest of us. They are so full of themselves. I five this show two months, TOPS!
Two months, eh? Sounds about right. LOL.
Boy. That's pretty original. I wonder what mastermind came up with that. Gosh. That's sterling. /sarc
Later today we'll have "Conversations with HiHeels & Liz".... starring, surprisingly, HiHeels & Liz.
Warning: Michael Eisner may be hurt during the production of this program.
Heheh........nice zinger(s) on your part.
Mikey better take a couple uppers to get himself up for the letdown.
This show will go nowhere.
Does this means that Roy Disney is in charge and will put things back the way Walt would have wanted (after purging the Gay Mafia)?
One of the reasons Roy Disney acted to overthrow Eisner is that Mikey precipitated Roy's ouster from the Disney board.
I'll keep listening for that flushing sound. LOL.
Gay mafia ??? at Disney ???
please PM or tell me more.
This Eisner guy has already been on network and cable TV last year.
He quest hosted (BORING..ZZZZZ) for the vacationing Charlie Rose PBS. I also saw him on shows like the unlamented John (tennis guy) MacInroe and Donny (Liberal Loonie) Deutcsh talk shows. This guy is like watching mold grow.
Michael Ovitz(ex-president of Disney) on the "Gay Mafia"
From Tuesday's LA Times (7/2/02): In a town where corporate brutality is suavely masked behind a smile, onetime mogul Michael Ovitz has shattered protocol and stunned hard-to-shock Hollywood by lashing out at what he calls the industry's "gay mafia" in a forthcoming Vanity Fair article.See also hereOvitz told the magazine he was convinced he was the victim of a well-orchestrated strategy led, in part, by DreamWorks SKG founder David Geffen and Ovitz's founding partner at Creative Artists Agency, Ron Meyer, who now runs Universal Studios.
...
FROM New York Post: "Although several of the "members" of the "gay Mafia" aren't gay, Ovitz said they include Walt Disney Chairman Michael Eisner and Ron Meyer - Ovitz's onetime business partner and currently the COO of Universal Studios. Others in the cabal, Ovitz said, are former Ovitz protégés Bryan Lourd, Kevin Huvane and Richard Lovett, as well as talent manager Bernie Brillstein. Ovitz says the group is still after him. "And they still hate me. Everyone. "David [Geffen] has always hated me. He got Ronnie [Meyer] to turn on me, and then Bryan Lourd and everyone else," said Ovitz."

Terms such as "Gay mafia" refer to a group of powerful homosexuals who purportedly exercise extraordinary influence in the entertainment industry.
5/14/95 Toronto SunMINNIE KNOWS: Is there a corporation anywhere on our corrupt planet more obsessed with fostering and maintaining a straight-arrow, family-values image than Disney? Of course not. But Buzz, a lively monthly out of Los Angeles - it's sort of like Toronto Life but more fun - says in its cover story that a lot of people who push the squeaky-clean, mom-dad-two-kids-plus-dog, relentlessly upbeat Disney image are more than just cheerful, gang: they're gladly, joyously gay. Yes, kiddies, as many as 40 per cent of Disney's 63,000 troops are gay. Yeah? Who says so, I can hear you asking. Well, how about Disney chairman Michael Eisner, who gave this estimate to a gay-rights activist. Working for the far-flung Disney kingdom is "magic," says one gay employee. Recently, a gay and lesbian pride day was held at Walt Disney World and 12,000 showed up, walking down the streets of the Magic Kingdom "holding hands, embracing, and kissing." And in yet another example of synchronicity, Spy has a story on Hollywood's 'Gay Mafia,' a group that packs a tremendous punch in the movie industry's boardrooms
Thanks for the info. I already knew what the term ment.
I didn't know that so many 'gays' were executives in Hollywood. I read the article link which says Aaron Spelling is gay. I am confused because he was married and has a actress daughter, Tori Spelling. I guess gays can be married but what kind of a lousy relationship is that.
A twice-a-month schedule suggests MSNBC knows this.
Suggests that somebody owes Mikey something...
Guy's can be bisexual. Guys can change in their sexual orientation (but only straight-to-gay is acceptable). There are several Hollywood gay men who married "beards" to provide cover.
I'm reminded of one of my daughter's friends. Her dad, after umpteen years of marriage and two kids, decides that he's really a woman trapped in a man's body, became a "she" and is now living with another "she-male" in a "lesbian" relationship. Visualize how that affected the teenaged daughters
