Hi Mike :) I'm trying to remember how I can post a personal digital picture. Seems to me I have to go to a website and upload it....is that right? I've never done it before, but I know I've read a suggestion in the past.

The memory cell I placed that tidbit of information seems to have been misplaced. ;) PS: don't you think they should invent a "post-it" note that sticks to your forehead?

It was a sultry day in Miami Beach.....

By the way, folks, when you use italics, insert an HTML code for a space after the closing tag for italics. I cannot seem to get the code to display in this message, but it is six characters: ampersand, n, b, s, p, semicolon. If you insert that HTML code after an italicized word (and after the normal space you use after you type a word (by pressing the spacebar) the italicized word won't be too close   to the next word. It's a flaw in the implementation of HTML that nobody seems to want to address.

Look at the difference:
This is an example of scrunched-up words.
This is an example of unscrunched-up  words.

Perhaps it's my browser (Opera), but your example of the unscrunched-up word looks stange with the extra space. The first example looks normal.

Yes -- you have to have your picture hosted somewhere (fotki, tinypic, or any site that allows hotlinking) and then link to is.

Use this code: (without the first space after the open carat)

< img src="url">

Thank you, StarCMC! So basically, once I can find a place to host my picture, I'll be able to upload it, then click on my picture's "properties" and post the pic the same way I would any other picture off the internet. Cool!

Yes -- and tinypic is free. I think photobucket might be as well. I pay for fotki -- about $30/year if I recall correctly.

Here's a little fun for ya:

<A HREF="URL of link"><IMG SRC="URL of image"></A>

For example:

<A HREF="http://www.drudgereport.com/"><IMG SRC="http://www.drudgereport.com/logo9.gif"></A> yields:

a "clickable" image!

My kitty just woofed down two bowls of cat food and a bowl of water. lol

Every day I go into the cats room and find the water bowl littered with cat food, I have no idea why he does this. I yell at him and he just looks at me like he could care less. lol

Wow, that was fast! Thanks. And, hey, Zuben Elgenubi, if you want to study that information, it's linked right up there at the top of this thread. It's michigander's "HTML Bootcamp."

Thanks, TPT
