ITHACA--According to the Ithaca Journal , a pair of Ithaca-area lesbians were able to conceive and birth triplets through in vitro fertilization and a sperm bank donor.
One mother, Kathy Zoner, is the assistant director and captain of the Cornell University Police.
The other mother, Kathleen Pasetty, is owner of a coffee shop on the Ithaca Commons.
The couple tells the Journal "their goals would have been more difficult or impossible to attain" if they lived elsewhere. The two receive help with childcare with financial help from grant money provided to Cornell employees.
The article makes it difficult to determine which one is the "man" in the relationship. On one hand, they go by Zoner's last name, and she's a cop. On the other, Zoner carried the children, which would imply she's the mother. However, she was implanted with Pasetty's eggs, the article notes.
I guess the only certain thing about this couple's relationship is that the kids are going to be as confused as hell someday.
My guess is you're right. And it WILL happen. That's what chaffs me about gays and lesbians. They can't seem to stay with one partner.
I can't tell from the pic - which is the female?
I wonder how long before the happy couple breaks up and the sperm donor gets sued for child support.
There is no way that is a female!
Just a guess: you're going to be reading about these kids for years to come.
You could have sounded the barf alert first!
:-(
Just an aside.... triplets and they're both still working full-time?
There goes lunch......
Do not post that picture at lunchtime again. People are trying to eat.
Is there are short version of why the city is evil? Other than the article.
If you click through to the story, you'll see they get subsidized childcare.
No such thing.
"That's what chaffs me about gays and lesbians. They can't seem to stay with one partner."
And heterosexuals are great at it, which is why you never hear about anyone divorcing anymore? :[
EEEWWWWW! They look too old to have children. Feel sorry for the kids.
Same turkey baster?
I'm not talking about divorce. I'm talking about monogamy. Married or not. One partner.
To me they both look like "Pat". (from SNL)
That's ridiculous! If they couldn't afford them, they shouldn't have them!
"Don't breed 'em if you can't feed 'em."
Anyway, the data I've seen suggests that even if they stay together they won't be faithful. I shudder to think of kids being exposed to that!
