It was 80 degrees in San Antonio yesterday. Today it's 65 and I may have to take off my sweater...

The PC term is now "Climate Change". That way, no matter what happens, they are covered and it's still Bush's fault. It's perfect.

"they jack the rates, because they aren't making enough money. What BS."
I just wish I could be in such a business. What a great model. If you sell what you project, you make tons of cash. If you don't sell enough, you jack rates, and make tons of cash. If you sell too much, ooops, supply and demand! You jack rates, and make tons of cash.
I'm not a big fan of regulation, but here is a case where it may be required.

Yeah, it's 60° outside my house here in northern Maryland.
ICE AGE!!
Not to entirely debunk this, though. The timeline (between now and 2012) seems like nonsense, but ice ages do happen from time to time. But I don't think it's the end of the world.

Meanwhile the moonbats continue to spazz over "Global Warming".
They insist on attempting, over and over, to place blame on humans for clearly cyclical natural processes; Continuing to attempt to jam Climate into their marxist ideologies, with the sole purpose of finding new and creative ways to control others.
Perhaps there is something we can do about climate change. Perhaps not. Politicizing it certainly is pointless.
Personally, I think a few thousand new Nuclear power plants would give us the options to deal with cimate change, either way, but I don't see that happenning any time soon.

Yesterday the weatherman said we would have a high of zero to 20 above. It never got close. We had a warmish December the first half of the month, 10-20 most days, but it has been below zero consistently the rest of the winter. This is similar to winters we used to have 30 years ago. The warm winters of 15-5 years ago seem to have gone away.
It's hard to tell from one or two winters what normal should be, but in Alaska we keep records of temperature and sunlight like a fetish and even learn calculus so we can predict how fast the heat leaks out of the walls of the cabin when the temperature differential is over 100 degrees for a month.

Ice ages come every 11,000 years. A mega ice age comes every 105,000 years. Both are due between now and 2012.This shows a colossal misunderstanding of these cycles. You can't project their onset with that kind of accuracy that they should start within the next six years. The 11,000 and 105,000 figures are very general and could have a 500-1,000 year error margin either way.

Exactly. Clearly a sensationalist article, even if it is based on actual history.

Dulles airport reported a record 63 degrees yesterday. Not bad for January (unless, like me, you're a duck hunter....we need cold and ice....bring it on...)

Mass extinctions only occur every 33 million years. We're overdue for that as well.
