Fascinating. Frankly, I'm surprised the Chinese government allows so many students to travel in America where they have a chance to separate truth from propaganda.
Keep doing your best for international relations!

... particularly, Revel locates the root of this poisonous anti-Americanism in France. Ah yes - France. The cradle of socialism, communism, militant islam, anti-americanism, and mother of failed nations. France is the root of all geopolitical evil in the world today.

you should cool your jets, too.
having seen anti-americanism as well as anti-europeism (which is hardly a word). I
There's overlap on moral, cultural, economical and security related topics in our societies. To turn these overlaps into a deeper transatlantic partnership is, what will keep our societies prosper - we both win.
Plus these things are quite more exciting to be talked about - because they might change something to our benefit. Things like how we can get rid of this monkey in Iran and how we could open our European minds to a little more self responsibility in a free economy instead of raising the states share of economic influence all the time.
Or maybe even how we can get rid of the economic dependency on oil as a fuel.
If we decide to focus on the things we cannot bring together we will loose - and I will be bored to death.

I am not saying we Eu folks would be better of without close relationshsips to the US - noone over here says so.Of course not!
You have to keep some sort of relationship so that the U.S. will be prepared to haul your sorry butts out of the fire the next time your arrogant cynicism creates a worldwide monster.

Year #1 in Sweden is up and what have I learned about Europe? Can I assume that you miss our wonderful country? That question's rhetorical by the way. I've a pretty good idea what your answer would be. :^)
You and your family keep well.
