Employers do have that right. As long as they don't discriminate in any of the Federally protected categories, i.e., race, sex, age, religion, etc., they can decide not to hire somebody for any reason or for no reason.

The Postal Service is--of course--under Title Seven, but there is ONE instance in which they have to give a reason in writing for not hiring someone, no matter what , and that is in the non-hiring of 10 point veterans.
