Ick. Easily the WORST idea in broadcast teevee history - get a bunch of untelegenic old people, who still believe that they are hip, and put them on national tv.
History will not be kind.

History will not be kind. Are you speaking about the Rolling Stones or the fans over 45? ;)

lol...
I've been to a number of Super Bowl parties (>50 attendance) the last few years. In descending popularity were the unique/creative commercials followed by the half time show (though to see how awful it was put together) and then by the ususally boring game.

Are you referring to the Democrat National Convention in 2004 where they nominated John Kerry for President or are you referring to the Rolling Stones performance at the Super Bowl?

opps ...AND the large amount of delicious and unique foods/drinks bought by the guests (for popularity ...wedged in after the commercials

LOL. I was talking about the fans.
The Stones themselves may look like they are straight from the crypt, but if you add a bunch of their elderly fans, it will look like a re-make of "Thriller".

Obviously you live in an area where people over 40 must be out of shape lazy and physically gross by your assumptions of fans over 40...

I did last year with Paul McCartney and will this year with the Stones. I wouldn't if it was the greatest marching band in the galaxy.

Dude, I'M over 40, and in good shape.
But I'm also realistic enough to know that a camera panning over a stadium full of gyrating 40+ year-olds will induce mass vomiting on a continental scale.
To: ShadowDancer
I don't care about teh 45 yr olds jiggling and bouncing their way out to the center of the field...
I would rather look at some scorching hot 22 yr old co-eds or something.
But the STROLLING BONES aren't going to keep my TV on the Super Bowl anyway.

If you start me up,
start me up,
I'll never stop!

I look at "Sir" Jagger's ugly old decrepit face, and I want to puke.
You can bet I will be having sex with the wife during halftime (with the TV off).

Individuals need not be seen, just masses. Any closeups will be on the singer or a guitar.

But the STROLLING BONES aren't going to keep my TV on the Super Bowl anyway.I attended a Stones concert in '81 (the "Start Me Up" tour), and they barely missed the "old farts" label then. I don't think I want to see them "rock" now that they're grandpas.

Sure hope Mick doesn't have a "wardrobe accident." I want to leave my FReeper buddies with the mental image of his codpiece dropping off on national TV...heh heh...

Dudette speaking here, since when does a stadium full of fans ever look like a Beauty Pageant?
It looks like a massive amount of heads and coats.
I don't think the Original Stone fans did any gyrating unless it was toking up...
