I don't get the whole Ipod craze. Isn't it basically an mp3 player? ... I play mp3s on my cd player

I play 5700+ MP3s on my iPod, sortable & playable in just about any order I want. That's the appeal for me.

That an impressive collection! I'd imagine that most are ripped from CDs you've accumulated over an extended period of time. I wonder if anyone has actually loaded up an iPod with downloaded tunes at $0.99 apiece? $5,643.00 would be one heck of an investment in music.
