South Africa is going to build a new high speed train but it will not be ready for the 2010 World Cup deadline. Known as Gautrain, it's project leader Jack van der Merwe said yesterday that it will not meet it's deadline.
The R20bn project was scheduled to start contruction this year but the financials were not completed in time and this has delayed the project.
Van der Merwe said they hoped to reach financial closure in about three to four weeks time. After that, it will take a further two to three weeks for construction to begin.
12% of whites have jumped ship already (those with qualifications). I worry about those who cannot get out. who will look after them?
Why would any white person stay in either South Africa or Zimbabwe? What type of white person doesn't have the sense to get the hell out of there before they are massacred? I can guess but I want to hear someone else say it.
