I'll have to double check myself. I am certain every case with opinions issued are published. Not sure, but don't know if there are other circumstances where the court does not issue an opinion. West has an appellate court reporter, which is what I'm basing my opinion on. Lexus and Westlaw carry them as well, I thought.

That's my point. The judge can issue a ruling but not write the opinion or basis for his ruling. These cases do not provide stare decisis.

I still enjoy reading West Reporters on cases, especially those involving real estate, contracts and criminal.

Point of info: I did horribly in criminal law. I considered it a waste of time. You know, he was arrested so put him in jail. I loved contract law and real estate law. I studied intellectual property and have a patent license.

Guess what I practiced....
