Police on Friday arrested a man suspected of leading what authorities described as an Orange County prostitution ring linked to a national operation using Asian women smuggled into the United States.
Investigators with the Orange County Human Trafficking Task Force arrested Duc Tuan Dinh, 34, of Santa Ana on suspicion of pimping and pandering. Dinh is suspected of running about 10 brothels across Orange County.
"This is how human trafficking translates to the local level," said Westminster police Sgt. Tom Findley.
Five prostitution suspects, two people suspected of being customers, and a man believed to be working with Dinh were picked up for questioning, Findley said.
The women were Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean and Thai immigrants. They arrived at the house from Oakland, Seattle, West Virginia and New York, Findley said.
Police said they have hit other homes connected with Dinh, where the women were mostly undocumented immigrants smuggled or trafficked into the country from Southeast Asia, Westminster police Lt. Derek Marsh said. Police did not specify how many other locations had been targeted.
It is unclear whether the women picked up in Santa Ana were smuggled into the country or if they were being held against their will. They will be questioned to determine if they were victims of human trafficking, Findley said.
"This is one of apparently many brothels that are related across the country," Marsh said.
The bust was the culmination of a seven-month investigation that began in Westminster's Little Saigon, Findley said.
Police said Dinh housed four to five women in each location, operating about three locations at a time.
In spans of about 10 to 15 days, the brothels were shut down and relocated in order to avoid detection, police said.
"They rotate them from city to city and even state to state," Findley said.

These posts make me mad ( not the poster, but the people behind the crimes). I hope the trafickers get trafficked in a jail so they can be pimped to bubba for bubblegum.
Republicans would make a great name for themselves if they became the law and order party with slave trafficing their centerpiece. If workers in sex or garment trade etc etc were targeted and Republicans said, "We are against slaves and we are doing something about this modern problem." - it would and the 20 year attack on white middle class.

I think I posted this a couple of days ago, but it was a different title.
I will restate: People in favor of illegal immigration, are in favor of: SLAVERY, HUMAN TRAFFICKING, AND ILLEGAL DRUG TRAFFICKING.
Considering the women were probably prostitutes before coming to the US, I don't see what the big deal is.
I don't think so. Ethnic hustlers could care less about this, they only think of the power they can garner from white guilt. And I don't think a few white guys protesting this is going to really change this debate. Unless those same white men stand up and put the boot to somebody's azz with no apologies, and then the shame belongs to the hustlers and the moral right belongs to the conservatives.
That is NOT always, nor even often, the case. Most often the women are told that "real" jobs await them so they can send money home to their families. Then when they arrive, they are forced into prostitution to "pay back" their costs of transportation, often $20-30,000 or more. Of course, the scumbags who do this to them have no intention of EVER letting the girls leave alive.
I recall hearing/seeing about some special task force (from Interpol?) that would track down the child pornographers. They would go to other countries (Asia primarily?), kill them, leave the photos of the little kids by the body and call the local cops. The local authorities would claim a robbery or whatever and be done with it. This may have just been some guy making it up to make a good "Investigative Report" story.
Sorry, I don't believe it. There are many women from around the world who are very willing to go to other countries to be prostitutes. It is much easier, and safer, to just get some of these women together and have them work in the other country. There is no force or violence involved. Of course, the headlines sound much better when they are refered to as 'sex slaves'.
ROTFLMAO! Do you really think anyone would be willing to start an international incident over sending hit squads to another country over child porn? A close friend back in the US is a detective who works child abuse cases. There are more than enough 'targets' back in the US that need to be taken out before ever stepping foot in another country.
Though what I posted is true, there's no requirement that you believe. I am not government and have no desire to coerce your belief.
Living in Thailand, I know the lies that are spread about Thailand by various religious and NGO groups. I have no doubt that these same groups, with their same vested interests, are also at work in the US. It makes me incredibly skeptical of this type of report.
Story sounds good to me. Nail'm hard.
One of these is probably the person I recall hearing (googled it). The Kungfu E-zine article was interesting. Would be nice if some/all of it is true. ARCHANGEL was the name of the team/project.
In April 2003, Bannon, along with his retired superior at Interpol, Commissioner Jacques Defferre, agreed to a rare interview to explain to Kungfu about their motives for working in Archangel. Sitting in a coffee shop in Charlotte, NC, the two plainly described how the underground kiddie porn industry is used to fund terrorist cells, and of the vast international networks of kidnappers and pornographers who continue to earn "billions of dollars" working above the law."
I just googled this and found the article you quoted ( http://ezine.kungfumagazine.com/ezine/article.php?article=499). Sorry, but the guy is full of it. This is obvious even in the first paragraph. For one, the Mark 23 wasn't even available in 1991 and nobody who knows anything about firearms is going to carry a 92F. Sorry. His descriptions of Thailand are equally laughable.
I am friends with some real life action heros and none of them have their own website.
LOL careful there. Many FReepers think all these women are innocent victims.
They are probably the same ones who will fall in love with a bargirl on their first night in Bangkok and end up making payments on her the rest of their life.
