"Condoleezza Rice, serving as a Stanford provost at the time, apparently stopped the investigation."

Are you kidding. How can a Stanford provost stop an investigation? What did she do to stop a government investigation by a Senator. I suspect this is crap, especially in view of the continual RAT attacks.

I suspect it was crap too...notice the word "apparently". IIRC, I had read that it was Janet Reno who stopped the FBI investigation (that was prompted by a letter from Henry Hyde) to cover up Clinton's complicity. The only role Condi had was to investigate John Lewis on a conflict of interest charge related to the deal. It was her job as part of the Stanford admin team to do so.
