THE HAGUE: Maverick right-wing lawmaker Geert Wilders said yesterday he would weed out radical Muslims by sealing the border to non-Western immigrants for five years and shutting down mosques advocating fundamentalism. Wilders, who inherited the populist mantle of slain politician Pim Fortuyn, told The Associated Press in an interview that the Netherlands must take strong measures to stamp out Islamic fundamentalism _ or face the collapse of the countrys democratic system. We were asleep for too long, he said. The Netherlands has been too tolerant to intolerant people for too long. Wilders, who stunned the political scene with his success at the polls, left the free-market coalition partner Liberal Party two months ago for backing the candidacy of Turkey _ a predominantly Muslim country _ to the European Union. He formed his own party. Recent polls suggest he would win more seats than the Liberal Party, known by its Dutch acronym, VVD, if elections were held today, and that his party would finish among the top three parties. Despite tough measures enacted over the last two years to limit immigration, Wilders said the government has failed to respond adequately to a growing Muslim militancy in the Netherlands. His remarks came two weeks after a Dutch filmmaker who had produced a television drama critical of how women are treated in some Muslim societies was shot and stabbed to death, allegedly by a 26-year-old suspected extremist who holds Dutch and Moroccan citizenship. Wilders style and cause are reminiscent of Fortuyn, a flamboyant political outsider who put immigration on the national agenda before the 2002 elections. Fortuyn was shot to death by a Dutch animal rights activist days before the vote, but major parties since have largely embraced his ideas.

See article posted. The whole framework of Dutch society is coming unglued. Shroring that back together will be no easy task.
Parliamentary representatives Geert Wilders, who receives many dead threats from Islamic immigrants is already for months housed in prison camp Zeist. A high secure prison that was also used for the Lockerbie terrorists. Wilders has to sleep in a prison cell. Representative Ayaan Hirsi Ali, who is also on the Islamists hit list, is housed on a heavily guarded Marine complex in Amsterdam.
Hirsi Ali told this today to the press

Europe MIGHT be waking up, but the question is, how far too late is it? Ah, who am I kidding.
That is some insane madness there. Living in prison for protection?
"sealing the border to non-Western immigrants for five years"
Every single western country, every European country, the US, Canada, Australia, Mexico, central and South American, every single one should do this. All together, simultaneously.
If he lives long enough to actually do something, then I'll be impressed.
This is one guy, not a nation. Let's see if he is going to be just a voice in the wilderness, or able to move the Dutch people. The latter might just be possible, though. That famous Dutch tolerance - I think a lot of that is more pragmatism than tolerance or especially liberalism. They have traditionally worked out novel solutions to their social problems but adopted them not so much out of a philosophical bent, but because they worked. Holland is not a particularly liberal or leftist country.
That's my impression from my Dutch friends.
Muslims, Catholics, And Mormons This pains me to say but a good 1/3 of Catholics (The NE CINOS) won't be willing to resist dhimmi I would say about a 1.3 of Mormons would resist dhimmi. A good 90% od Muslims would be willing to impose dhimmi
Won't/Can't happen. Not reality.

Yea, right wing prudence brings a "maverick" tone to the media, whilst left wing fanaticism brings a tone of "progression" to the media.
As Would I
I don't know why that is but I have run into a lot of Mormons that seem to be prepared for the crusade to come
You are fortunate indeed if you have Mormon neighbors during hard times.
