Thank you for putting that picture up. That photo will not get him any votes in flyover country. The guy is an omnidimensional phony. If he were to pull the trigger, he would burn his left hand and his right bicep would be horribly bruised. What a wanker!

And in addition to your additional comments, I'd like to add that wrapping your lead hand completely around the barrel is not good sighting technique. While I'm not an enthusiast, and haven't hunted in about 40 years, I've never seen anyone handle a rifle or shotgun that way.

The only thing that could be offered in his defense (not that I'm wont to do that...) is that this is obviously not a shooting stance. It's either staged, before, or after a shot. There's just too much wrong with it to believe that the man actually shoots in this position.

LOL. That was funny, SJackson.

If Kerry's a hunter I'm a world champion ice skater.

The Romney hunt was NOT a canned hunt, it took place in 45,000 acres, and true hunters know this.

Once again, Kerry shows his ignorance, if he thinks this statement will gain him some points with hunters.

On another note, I just tried to post a thread for you and Diana in Wisconsin about some significant evidence cougars are inhabiting Wisconsin, but it is a Gannet publication and we can't post their material. So go to www.outdoorpressroom.com if you are interested.

Okay, tell me, in your most enlightened, wildlife management expert, opinion, how many acres a single quail needs to be in a "wild" environment.

So, if a quail is released into a wildlife management area, free of fences, how much unfenced acreage will the quail need to be "free."

You may want to do some research and you'll find quail are among the most endangered species -- and it is not because hunters fence them in 45,000 acres and shoot some of them. It IS because their habitat is disappearing, so the "enlightened" ones who save them can have their STARBUCKS coffee strip malls close by -- to make them feel better when they are saving something.

Have you contributed (finanially, physically) to saving anything lately?

Tell you what, call your local Ducks Unlimited, Quail Unlimited, chapter tomorrow, and either send them some money, or go on a Saturday morning trip building wood duck boxes, or other habitat, and then get back to me about saving wildlife - - Or about what kind of hunting is acceptable.

I'd bet my left arm you live so far away from wildlife, you think a pigeon is endangered :)

Deer hunting with a shotgun? That John Kerry must be one bad-ass hunter.

some of us have to hunt with shotgun, due to stupid DNR rules. then again, there's little point to using anything else where i hunt, my longest shot on a deer was 60 yards, but most are under 30.

Psst, quail fly. A fence won't do too much to keep them in. 45,000 acres, even if they are released, is not a canned hunt. Many streams I used to fish contained released trout, does that make it 'canned fishing'? (I never actually caught one that was released)
