If I believed there were such a thing as a nonpartisan panel in Washington I would support this.

However, I think it would be just a waste of taxpayer money.

The liberal media has already made up it's mind on the war and is determined to spin it to look as bad as possible. It doesn't matter who's describing what's happening there, they will still report the bad things and ignore the good.

There is already plenty of facts and figures on the war and the situation in Iraq that are publicly available.

We don't need to pay a bunch of bureaucrats to look at them because their findings will be spun as well.

That's right. We won, and the mop-up phase is moving along on schedule. Two or three years from now Iraq will have better border security than we do, most of our troops will have moved on to the next task and the fact of Iraqi self-government will be opening the eyes of other Arab populations.
