Did you know who she was?

I stumbled on Burlesque history about ten years ago. Tempest was known for plowing big cash into her wardrobe and perfected the classic syncopated bump and grind.

She never went nude. She relied on the tease and timing.

My personal opinion that Marilyn Monroe took here coquette style from Tempest.

That's pure conjecture of course.

No idea who she was...and only vaguely knew what the hell she was doing because I'd seen a burlesque show at a state fair years before and, of course, the show Gypsy.

What you have now is something altogether different.
