You quote doesn't say anything about president Bush.

I don't understand what the president has to do with the quote.

Oh come on! They were only trying to find out if anyone was communicating with the leader of the OKC bombing as declared by Clinton - Rush Limbaugh!! ;-)

A few years back, I read the court transcript where the president of the company that had issued the calling card was testifying. He said that some of the calling records were missing because **the switch crashed several times per day**!

ROFL.

Humor aside, it is shocking how quickly some business execs fall all over themselves to anyone with a gun and a badge. Yet why should we not be surprised when these firms rely on good relations with government regulators for approval of this and that filing and or rate request?

Wow, that picture shows the MSM reaction to Sandy Burgler stealing documents for the National Archives.

Oh, but Bush should be impeached? Geez, what a bunch of losers.

I was more intrigued by the "Liberty Lobby" company not being notified at all that their entire customer database was being monitored.

Yes is suspect specfic. A request is made for certain numbers not all phone numbers.

I can only speak to telephony and the phone numbers not credit card processing.

But... but... but... We all know that conservatives and Right Wingers are much more of a threat to this country than Islamic terrorists!

Don't we?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Reno's Justice Department tap the phones and monitor all communications at the Waco compound without any warrants?

They don't give a rats ass if you are talking on your phone about running down the street to buy an ounce of weed, and couldn't use it in court anyway.

BTTT - what those who are screaming about civil rights violations are screaming forget!

I'm pretty sure our local sheriff cannot get any type of phone records without some type of court permission, but I'm not sure about a full warrant. I really thought they had to have a warrant though.

Now, I saw your post about IRS agents, and that may be so, and wouldn't surprise me in the least.

Vel, we must get a copy of the ladies program, imagine what we could do with it.

I am certain Jim Robinson would love to set it up for us, talk about research.

Laughing......and remembering numbers that meant nothing to us.
