"Sending a man to the Moon? It would be a one-way ticket if we do it now, given the thrust of our rockets at present is not strong enough," Luan Enjie, commander-in-chief of the country's lunar exploration programme, said jokingly.

But the country is planning to develop even more powerful rockets in the future, he added.

Luan was talking to the press at the end of a conference for leaders of the programme yesterday in Beijing.

Isn't one of their stated goals to recover some samples of lunar He-3 deposits to study?

One way they could gain the technology for bigger and more powerful rockets more quickly is to help another Clinton get into the White House. She'll gladly sell them the technology like her husband did when he gave them our missile technology.

Let's see, maybe a couple million dollars political contribution to her campaign should do the trick.

Great advancement! We have a bunch of passengers that could join the project: Michael Moooron, Barbie Schmartsand, Hitlery Klingoon, Sunday Burglar, Dingy Harrey, more than a truckload. I will sacrifice my miles.

Why would they send drummers to the moon? On second thought, having seen them drum, I might just kick in some cash to send them there.
