Yeah, I bet she has. I know how that feels. I've got a difficult last name and almost no one pronounces it correctly.
The world is full of people who are just too lazy to really figure out how to pronounce a good many names. My maiden name was White but I sometimes had someone ask me how to spell it (and they were not kidding). I assume it was because it could be spelled with a "y" but still...
