Two words, "parental notification". That's what the USSC will be tackling in the near future.

The Ayotte case. It was heard at the end of November and the decision is pending.

Correct me if I'm wrong. As I understood it, the Dem's already had their week when the hearing was rescheduled. I believe it was to begin right after the new year. At least that was what I thought I heard at the end of the hearings

I was wrong in my post to you .. You are correct

FNC just showed a clip from back in November and the agreement between Specter and Leahy about the week delay being in the beginning of the hearings .. not after

But the other Dems didn't honor that agreement and basically said .. Leahey's words means nothing and calling for the Rule for a one week delay

They are trying to delay this appointment to the court because there are a couple big cases coming up

I was just going to ask that question. Alito's confirmation is a foregone conclusion -- ergo the only reason the Dems are stalling is because there must be a case (or cases) they want Sandy O to rule on. Anyone have any insight as to which cases are pushing the Dems to do this?

This nothing. Wait until we get a 3rd nominee. There will be fireworks.
