It's great when you get a "Judge" that doesn't believe in punishment.

Any criminal court judge that no longer believes in punishment should do the honorable thing and resign. But, as a typical self-righteous elitist, he wants to trash the system while retaining all its benefits for himself.

Let's hope the citizenry decides it "no longer believes" in paying judges who "no longer believe" in doing their job.

Funny, tax courts never seem to get that kind of judge.
