Gaza's spiral into anarchy
BBC News ^ | January 5 2006 | Alan Johnston

Foreigners have been kidnapped. And every day there are angry anti-government protests. Public buildings are stormed as armed demonstrators demand jobs, or sometimes the release of prisoners.

There have been attacks on police stations, clan feuds and clashes between militia groups.

"There is a disintegration in our situation here," says the independent election candidate, Dr Eyad El Surraj.

"There is a disintegration of the Palestinian Authority and its forces, which is a symptom of the disintegration of Fatah itself. There is no decision-making process. There is no leadership."

Nowhere are the PA's failings more painfully apparent than in the security field.

Fatah is facing its first parliamentary electoral challenge from Hamas in the current campaign. And Hamas clearly believes that some in Fatah fear they will lose out badly and are looking for an excuse to call off the election.

"Everyone now suspects that this is planned chaos," said Dr El Surraj. "This is planned violation of the rule of law - planned to disrupt the elections."

But there is now a growing appreciation of the depth of the malaise in Palestinian society

Hafiz Barghouti, the editor of the newspaper Al-Hayat Al-Jadeed, has written: "It appears we are neither prepared to change, nor admit that we have failed in running our own affairs. Everyone is busy calculating how to make the biggest possible gains at the homeland's expense.

"While most Palestinians find it easy to blame the occupation for all our ills, it is a fact that the occupation was not as bad as the lawlessness and corruption that we are now facing."

Well for all the Billions of dollars of American taxes flushed down the Rathole of the "Palestinians", all I can say is we sure bet on a looser there.

Not one more dime should be sent to these terrorists, you cannot find a single person in the entire area that you can address the check to that should not be spending time in prison, and Congress if it had an IQ half its average shoe size should have figured it out years ago.

Can we stop pretending that the Arab League invaders are a people now?

Malaise? Sounds like a job for Jimmy Carter. Except this doesn't sound like a malaise, it sounds like a complete breakdown of society, which had previously been unified only in hatred for The Joooos.

I've been trying to determine the answer to a question: has a worldwide scourge ever been completely obliterated off the face of the Earth, or are the Pali cockroaches going to be the first?

Even the Nazis weren't completely scrubbed.

Only a European or a left wing Jew would be shocked at this news.

Sharon did the right thing.

Let the slime wallow in their own sh*t and get the IDF out of the tar pits.

Its too obvious now, the BBC can't even hide it and can't blame the jews for this.

Is anyone surprised? Maybe Bill Clinton.

Cockroaches beget cockroaches, terrorists beget terrorists, it is only a question of time before they start killing each other by the dozen.

Hamas man killed in gunfight with Fatah activists
By ASSOCIATED PRESS
GAZA CITY

A Hamas supporter was killed in a firefight early Thursday, and the Islamic group alleged he was gunned down by activists of the rival Fatah Party during an election dispute.

Hamas and Fatah activists were hanging election posters in Gaza City when the dispute erupted, said Sami Abu Zuhri, a Hamas spokesman. A firefight erupted, and 24-year-old Rami al-Dalou, a Hamas supporter, was killed, said Abu Zuhri.

Palestinian security officials confirmed the death and said they were investigating. Abu Zuhri accused the Palestinian Authority of doing nothing to enforce the law, and demanded the arrest of the gunmen.

Hamas is expected to make a strong showing in January 25 parliament elections. The corruption-tainted Fatah, which dominated Palestinian politics for four decades, braces for a major drubbing.

As soon as the Israeli's pulled out the Pallies started looting, burning and destroying any part of the infrastructure that might have been used to better their own condition, so I am not surprised that it has turned into a total crazed-shark feeding frenzy.

Let'em rot, riot and massacre each other.

Or, better yet, let's all start calling on Egypt to move in and restore order. See how long it takes before they start screaming death to Mubarak and blowing up Egyptian APCs.

This is only the begining. Things are going to get much, much worse.

Good!! Let the animals kill each other in bloodbaths. The idiots at the BBC are probably weeping when they report from the gaza strip. Knowing they can't blame the jews for all this. They actually have to report that palestinians are killing each other.

love it.

I know this is exactly the reason why Egypt has been trying to stay on the border and not get any closer.
