Media: The New York Times is under fire from the left and right over the handling of its wiretapping story. But that's just the latest in a pattern of embarrassing mistakes and misdeeds by the "paper of record."
It's been all the blues that's fit to print for The New York Times reporters, editors and brass lately. The memory of the Jayson Blair plagiarism scandal was just fading when veteran Washington reporter Judith Miller was jailed for 85 days for protecting a source then promptly shown the door amid suggestions of receiving more than leaks from her contacts.
It might have helped if Miller weren't resented by others at the Times for lacking a liberal political agenda.

The MSM is in major crisis mode with circulation and advertising dollars falling off sharply.
We have witnessed major staff reductions including sacrificial lambs, pending federal investigations, reporters being locked up, and their credibility challenge to the point that nothing they report goes without verification before being accepted, if accepted at all.
We have seen the rise of Fox News and the fall of all liberal TV media. Fox News isn't perfect but what it shows is that the public is far more aware of what they're viewing and they're making new choices thanks to the new media. The TV market is primed for a conservative network to rise up and lay waste to CBS, NBC, and ABC in short order.

The left, whether blogging or MSM, peddles nothing but defeatism and anti-americanism. They are losing, they know it, and they are getting hysterical. Quite a spectacle, I might add.

If CBSNBCABC had ANY brains, they would hire a center right anchor and editor and mop the floor against the other two rivals.

AH, but the people who run those alphabets are democrats -- therefore, they have no brain. We will see CBS hire a new anchor just as leftist and biased as those on the other alphabets. There is no hope for old media....they do not understand that we want truth not democrat spin. Plus, if they go straight, they will lose their bonuses from Soros, et al.

The NYT is no longer the paper of record, and we haven't needed one for more than a decade.
To: Laverne
Good, I'd just as soon see them continue to shrivel anyhow.

Best thing that could happen to the News industry would be for the Hag to go TU.What do you call 500 less New York Times employees?
...................A good Start!!!
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 20, 2005--The New York Times Company announced today that it plans to undertake staff reductions that will affect approximately 500 employees, about four percent of its total workforce. It plans to begin the staff reductions in October and implement them over the course of the next six to nine months.

It would be a VERY tough choice if I had to choose between a 747 full of lawyers or a 747 full of NYTimes employees running out of fuel over the Atlantic.

Well that's the fun part, as Hollywood, the liberal media, and the Democratic Party continue to lose power and financial profits from lost advertising revenue, lost union donations, etc. someone is going to break financially and through the shear power of greed over political ideology they will defect and others will follow sending the entire liberal world as they know it into chaos. It's going to be beautiful. lol

But, but, but surely Stone Phillips will save the day. LOL

I sometimes get this picture in my head of Chrissy Matthews having a complete breakdown live on air after hearing something just before broadcast catastrophic to the Liberal media.
I see him repeating "I'm Chris Matthews and your watching, I'm Chris Matthews and your watching, I'm Chris Matthews and your watching" as drool runs out the corner of his mouth while they drag him off camera. lol
To: TheForceOfOne
Well, chrissy is in a real slugfest now with Geek Odorman for the bottom of MSNBCs ratings.

Geek Odorman was rambling on the other day about BOR and John Gibson calling them the worst people in America. He was really pathetic and made no points to back up anything he said while promoting throughout the show he had big news against them.
I never watch him but decided to just one time to see how bad it was, it was worse than expected. I think he knows nobody is watching and doesn't care.
To: TheForceOfOne
He doesn't care about much these days, except for getting a date with Anderson Cooper.

Hope your prediction turns into reality! Cheers to FR and all the people here that have helped turn the tide... And not to forget that most of this movement has been inspired by the likes of Rush, Coulter, Malkin et. al.
