Thanks for posting this, Trident. I think the left really wishes we all had amnesia.

Doesn't sound like Glenn, but it generally appears true. Not sure about the nuclear inspectors in Iran and NK.

By the way, the date on the John Glenn quote is wrong, it was actually 1974:

Was Glenn working an honest job when he tood Charlie Keating's money?
I'd bet he would never defend Bush. If he were in the Senate today, he'd be voting to uphold a filibuster against the Patriot Act, and then going home to brag about it.

I find it hard to believe that a liberal like Glenn would have made such remarks, or that he would clash with his fellow Ohio Democrat Metzenbaum, or why this subject would come up on the Senate floor in the first place. The whole story sounds fishy, like some of those self-reliance quotes falsely attributed to Bill Gates.

There were 39 combat related killings in Iraq in January. That may be accurate for the number of American deaths. I can guarantee that a whole lot more Iraqis died than that.

It took less time for the 3rd Infantry Division and the Marines to destroy the Medina Republican Guard than it took Ted Kennedy to call the police after his Oldsmobile sank at Chappaquiddick
Just dayumn! That one's gonna sting.

The Senate Floor statement was given by Senator Glenn, but not recently (not 2004 as stated in the piece). The statements on Iraq preceeding the Floor Statement was NOT Senator Glenn. It is just something that has been floating around the Internet, and was tacked onto the speech by Senator Glenn.

For those who don't remember .. During W.W.II, Howard Metzenbaum was an attorney representing the Communist Party in the USA. Be fair, that a job too. :) One that should get you shot at dawn, but a job. But Uncle Joe was our friend then, right. Howard M said so.
