I can see getting caught up in the moment, as we all hoped that the Miners would be found alive. However, being reporters they have a responsibility to verify the story. It seems to me that MSM reporters seem to have trouble verifying stories lately. They're just rumor mongers anymore

Rush is making a logical mistake....

He is RIGHT when he criticizes the MSM for disparaging the miners..."Why do they do that job? Can't they do anything else?"

He is WRONG when he is critical of live reports when things are streaming all around you.

Here's an example that might be closer to home (an actual story I have covered}:

You are live in front of a burning house...a portion of the roof collapses...you ask anyone in the vicinity if they know if there were any firefighters in that section of the building.

You hope you have presence of mind to say..."Of course, that is not an official report" but you're just getting as much information as you can.
