But the reason I also pointed out his failed stand up status is this--Leno remains at his core a stand up comic, as does Jerry Seinfeld, Richard Lewis etc. But Letterman, used it as a vehicle to become another empty headed tv host. He was a JCarson wannabe, but the difference is this--Carson didn't have that nasty edge/agenda...Letterman does. For all his OH GOSH Indiana boy charm...he remains at his core a very small man....
