I don't blame him. I'm a fan of Leinart's. It's hard to be a gracious loser, and it's often forced and fake. Matt's reaction was real. So credit him for honesty. He had a great second half, and Texas stopped his offense just in time. I don't blame him for his reaction at all.
Be that as it may, I'm sure he'd rather be quoted saying something else. This game will be remembered for a long time.
Your point's noted, but had Leinart just said something classy like, "I think we're a great team, but Texas is, too. Congratulations." He would have come off as a consummate sportsman and earned much respect.
