I don't know.

Without Puzlousny or however you spell his name, PSU's defense was merely good.

the Penn State game is another one I want to see played now with the way OSU is playing defense. It's like night and day, but I would say Penn State and Ohio State are 1 and 1a on defense in the nation.

Have to consider Alabama up there as well. Alabama's offensive was terrible which put even more pressure on the defense. At least Penn State and Ohio State could move the ball with regularity.

There's an SH in there somewhere! :)

Don't forget that Penn State also did not have the services of Derrick Williams against FSU. The kid is
electricity in motion. Penn State absolutely shut down an OSU offense that scored 24(25) points against Texas(and lost the game on a last minute touchdown pass), and then blew out Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl. This PSU defense was special. With the exception of their one long touchdown pass, FSU's offense never penetrated the red zone except in overtime. Now if Michael Robinson could hold on to the ball...
