Actually checking my source - today's Washington Times - that's Traveler VII. And supposedly Tommy Trojan is retiring after tonight's game.
Traveler VII. OK, thanks. I see by Google that Washington & Lee and other authorities are spelling General Lee's horse's name with two l's, Traveller.
Funny, I have a little gold charm of the horse on my charm bracelet with it spelled Traveler, from the souvenir shop in Lexington. And our RE Lee HS newspaper was the Traveler with one l. I was editor. I wonder how so many people got it wrong. *oh well* I'll "speak" or "whisper" to Traveler VII.
When OU played out there in the 1980s, the horse reared up in front of OUr stands and threw the Trojan. We were ever so slightly amused.
Boomer Sooner, Wronghorns.
