NO, USC is playing for its third national Championship. After the BSC protected LSU in 2003 and didn`t allow USC to settle this on the field, the schools had to share the National Championship. To bad, the Trojans wanted to play the Tigers, but, maybe after what USC did ton Auburn that year, LSU chickened out, and played the Sooners. To bad that LSU never was able to return to the level USC has established.

Thanks for sharing your rationalizations, but the fact is, LSU won the National Championship in 2003. What the system is now, what it came to be or your opinion of it MATTER NOT ONE BIT. When the season started and ended in 2003 THAT WAS THE SYSTEM. We all played under it and LSU won it on the field. The trophy is in our trophy case. You can stop by and see it any time. It's the same trophy that Pete Caroll so proudly held up last year. He wasn't waving that "other" trophy around . . . now was he?

By the way . . . you know you sound like a Democrat when you do that? Rationalizing defeat is their stock in trade and you seem to have perfected it.
