Finally, you got it right.
No, USC doesn`t always get its way. USC was #1 in both polls at the end of the year but, just missed getting to play LSU cause of the goofy, since changed, BSC rules.
USC wanted LSU very much that year and even tryed to play them in one of those special early games the next year. For some reason, I think it was crayfish season or something and we ended up beating Virginia Tech.
LSU braved a determined North TEXAs ST.
