I peeked in on that thread a while ago and don't understand Frist's wishy-washy view about government intervention. George Greer was acting as a government judge when he ordered Terri's execution. He was acting as a government judge when he ordered that she not be permitted so much as an ice chip to ease her agony. He was acting as a government judge when, the previous time, he refused to let Terri take Communion before he killed her.

So what is Frist talking about, this is a "personal" matter? Terri's death was an official Florida execution by torture.

Frist is so milquetoast that another word needs to be coined for that type of lackluster personality. He is apparently a great heart surgeon, and that's what he needs to resume doing. I don't think he is an effective politician, and he never would have been elected to the Senate had not 1994 been a strongly Republican year, in my opinion.
