Doesn't change the fact that the reason they had gas problems is because Ukraine syphoned off the gas. All those Poles who've been defending Ukraine just got stiffed on gas as a result of the fact Ukraine has absolutly no respect for rights to the gas lines, and hasn't in 15 years.

Vladimir Putin is that you ?

About the gas price.

The fact of this matter is that not only is Ukraine refusing to pay market price, they consistently do not pay their bills, and steal gas from the line. That ALONE would make them a high risk client worthy of DOUBLE the market price. Yushchenko is getting a steal at 160, a deal at 230 and a fair price a 460, especially when transfer fees on Europeon gas in effect subsidizes the cost.

Further.

If Russia builds around Ukraine, as it surely now will do, Yushchenko has LOST A NATIONAL TREASURE do to STUPIDITY and RAMPANT IRRATIONAL NATIONALISM.

Oh Please, 1 its not like gas markets are drying up, and 2, Russia is still the cheapest easiest game in town. I hate Exxon mobile but when the tank is empty their gas is as combustable as any. Russia will see increasing demand in gas markets until the day China is bombed off the map.
