The New York Times today said they have conclusive evidence that President Bush violated the 'National Do Not Call Registry'. A spokesperson for the Times, who asked not to be identified, said they have a person willing to testify that the President did knowingly violate the Registry. Gertrude Reems of Chicago said she was just sitting down to eat on April 1st 2003 when the telephone rang. The caller asked Mrs. Reems if she had Prince Albert in a can. Reems said she would have to check and asked who was calling. The person on the other end was laughing hysterically and said, "Why this is President George W. Bush you old coot", and then hung up. Reems, a lifelong democrat, said she doesn't think she'll ever be able to forgive the President for not waiting to find out if she had any Prince Albert.
Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said, "This is the last straw. The President's wanton disregard for the civil liberties of all Americans has reached a new low." Minority Leader, Senator Harry Reid (D-NV) said he would demand another independent investigation when the Senate returns to work in January. Commenting on the Times story, Democrat Party Chairman Howard Dean, speculated that maybe President Bush was the little bastard that keeps ringing his doorbell and running away.

DU might pick up as factual story.
LOL! I love that site!
You mean that they haven't already? LOL!
Can anyone post it there?
You might also want to post up the "Bush isn't seeking third term" story.
I do not know.
I think this kind of reporting is so shallow..As if the President would ask if she has "Prince Albert in a can"..indeed..he clearly called her to ask if her "refrigerator is running"..and when Ms. Reems answered yes, the President responded with, "Well, you better go catch it before it runs down the street."..just another attempt by the nyt to further denigrate this President..
Dan Rather could give this story more leggs...
Wow - this is hugh and series.
Tom Daschle was heard to say that "I am deeply saddened that the President would resort to such despicable tactics. Everyone KNOWS Prince Albert is in a pouch"
