Because it's like reading a biography of Abraham Lincoln that starts out by claiming that he was born on July 4, 1776. If the author bungles something straightforward like that, then none of his/her other supposedly factual statements can be taken at face value. If the facts can't be trusted, why even bother addressing the analysis of those mistaken facts?

If they come up with anything resembling an actual issue, then I agree. When someone declares that the sky is lime green, they either do not wish to know the truth, or they are mentally incapable of knowing the truth.
When even the MSM cannot ignore the current economy, this tripe cannot pass the smell test. In late 2003 this would have warranted a reply. Not in 1Q2006.
