I hope you know I was being sarcastic. I approve of bicameral legislatures. I just want them to work. If I was in the Senate, I would have travelled back there and objected to the unanimous consent and had them call the role. Then, lo and behold, it would have been discovered that there was the absence of a quorum (as if just looking around the room wouldn't have sufficed).

Yep, most anything I say about the senate is sarcastic. It's hard to say which is worse, the senate being able to set their own rules, no term limits on 6-year terms, or the despicable pathetic current crop of senators which excerbates the problems in the first place.
