"Now is the time for the Republican Party to stand up and be Republicans. It is time for us to be proud to be Republicans again. We need to focus on downsizing government rather than boasting about how weve not grown the government as much as the Democrats would have. Now is the time for us to fulfill the dream of Ronald Reagan. Now is the time for true conservatism to take the center stage in the Republican Party. "
Great article by a great Conservative freeper named Brian Sears.NOW IS TIME to restart the Reagan Revolution!

Hi Coop. Gipper is not Rep. Pence. He is, however, a huge fan and dedicated to introducing us all to Rep. Pence.

I am glad to hear more encouragement, from a sophomore in high school. My oldest son got started in political discussion, when he was in high school. He is a Reagan conservative, like me.
I was privileged (though I paid for the opportunity) to sit with Jesse Helms and Dan Quayle, when Jesse was running against Harvey Gant, D (Charlotte mayor) for Senate. They spoke the same language as Mr. Pence. There is a great need for a true conservative. There is a greater need for someone to take the helm, and jibe. Hopefully, much of the waste would get knocked overboard.
Mr. Pence seems to be a man with principles. There are few left in DC, and fewer in the Republican Party, it seems. We need someone like him to lead this country back to the future... and we need more Brians in the wings!
Thanks for the post.

When it comes time to talk about presidents, one thing needs to be kept in mind - there appears to be a strong correlation between the person eventually elected and executive experience. Going way back the president was either a governor or a vice-president.
Therefore, when I make my short list, I exclusively look at those ranks.
Nothing against Pence. He sounds like the right kind of guy. Maybe he should consider running for governor and proving he can lead in that role.

Mike Pence looks better and better all the time. When President pence is sworn in, I will testify to the critical role of Gipper08 in the process. God bless you and yours.
