Two Germans vs. Islamism - Getting Tough on Islamic Immigrants?
Jewish World Review ^ | January 3, 2006 | Daniel Pipes

Posted on 01/03/2006 1:45:19 AM PST by Loud Mime

"In Baden-Wurtenberg, Heribert Rech (of the ruling Christian Democratic Union party) has overseen the administering of a 30-topic loyalty test for applicants to become naturalized citizens. Following an intensive and sophisticated study by the Baden-Wurtenberg government of Muslim life, it developed a manual for the naturalization authorities explaining that applicants for citizenship must concur with the "free, democratic, constitutional structure" of Germany."

Because survey research finds that 21 percent of Muslims living in Germany believe the German constitution irreconcilable with the Koran, the written yes-no questions of yesteryear are history for Muslim applicants for citizenship. As of January 1, 2006, immigration officers who suspect Islamist leanings are instructed to probe further. Personal interviews will now last an hour or two and will be given to an estimated half of naturalization applicants."

"Finally, nearly two-thirds of the questions concern gender issues such as women's rights, husbands beating wives, "honor killings," female attire, arranged marriages, polygyny, and homosexuality."

snip

"The Schünemann proposal points to the urgent need to develop a working definition of Islamism and Islamists, plus the imperative for the authorities to explain how even non-violent Islamists are the enemy."

Rech and Schünemann have presented two bold tactics for the defense of the West, premised in each case on an understanding that culture and ideas are the real battleground. I salute their creativity and courage. Who will next adapt and adopt these initiatives?"

They're displaying the guts that are necessary in fighting these people. Trouble is that they should give this test to ALL the applicants; half may be a whole problem.

We could borrow this page of their playbook.

They'll probably be imprisoned for outing Islam as the death cult it is.

Of course the immigrants are assumed to tell the truth on these tests?

Sure, but they lie - and it is revealed later - their German citizenship is null and void and they can be thrown out of the country.

"...the German constitution irreconcilable with the Koran...[sic]"

And here we have the crux of the problem.

The exact same applies to the United States with regards to our Constitution and the Quran.

We could borrow this page of their playbook.

It would only work if we gave the same test to ACLU lawyers.

Sounds good in theory. I wonder if it will really happen that way.

Of course the immigrants are assumed to tell the truth on these tests?

According to the Bible and the Torah, whatever lies come out of a person's lips reflect a wretched heart.

According to the Koran (or Qu'ran as is the PC spelling these days), lying is perfectly acceptable as long as you use it to further the spread of Islam.

What Mr. Pipes, who's certainly not part of the MSM, doesn't point out here is that immigrants are generally not the problem. It is their children and later generations. The immigrants usually know enough to behave, for they usually have deportation hanging over their heads. The kids face 10 years in jail, at worst, for murder, and much lighter punishments for anything else - and cannot be deported.

What Europe needs to start doing is telling Islam, as a whole, to either reform and join the civilized world, or disband.

Otherwise send them all (immigrants and their children) back to the old country.

What they're doing is better than nothing, but it's like taking aspirin for cancer, you may get a bit of temporary relief, but you haven't solved anything.

You bring up a good point, but where are the children getting their ideas? Someone is filling their heads with the ideas of wasting themselves in the name of hatred.

There's a part of my lower animal instincts (or is it my spider-sense?) that tells me that Islam is incompatible with liberty. The two are enemies.

And ANOTHER way this is good, those forigners (including muslims) who are willing to these terms can get their kids minds untwisted IF they will assimilate into local society.

Tagging violent radicals to monitor their whereabouts is an interesting approach, but personally I'd suggest that tagging them with 230-grain hollowpoints is much more effective.

I believe that wonders will happen when the Islamics are believed to be a real threat to all liberty.

When that happens, they will have no corners in civilized society...they can go back to their caves and their stone age beliefs.
