The three worst owners in the NFL (in no particular order):
- The New Orleaqns car dealer (Saints)
- The Fords (Lions)
- The Bidwells (Cardinals)

No trips to the Super Bowl and three playoff wins between them in the past 25 years.

Prior to the storm the sports news was whether Benson would take the team and leave NO. If I'd been negotiating I'd told him the Superdome gets renovated when the Saints reach the super bowl (wouldn't care if they won). What's he going to do - leave? So what the way the fans have supported the Aints we'd have another team in a few years.

The Fords have not been *successful* owners(and I include the younger one now), but they are indeed good owners. They give the guys they hire plenty of freedom and do not run a cheap outfit.

For many years the Lions have been known as just about the best franchise in the league for assistant coaches. Good pay, top bennies, moving allowances, etc.

The Fords just can't hire the right guys, that's all.

If Monte Clark could have learned to be himself, he might have done very very well here. One of the top NFL minds of the last 35 years.
