Unfortunately, the Old Media are setting things up for a "Bush broke the law" scenario.

Unless the GOP changes its usual weak-kneed behavior, they're going to get away with it, too.

I caught two snippets on C-SPAN this AM (I hardly ever watch C-SPAN), and in both instances the guests were flat out stating Bush violated the law.

The Republicans had better develop some cajones, or the libs will make this another Watergate.

Why haven't the Republicans been out in front of this explaining that there is a HUGE difference between what Nixon did and what the NSA is doing now?

As if I had to explain, (and if I can then why can't the pubs)? Watergate was spying on your political enemy. What the NSA is doing is spying on those who would make hometown USA glow green in the middle of the night if given the chance.

Demoncraps would rather have one of our cities nuked than do what it takes to keep us safe.

They disgust me, and quite frankly, the lack of defense of our president by his own party is sickening too.

Disagree. 70% of the population side with the President on this one. This story is effectively over for the Media, except for the upcoming jailing of reporters for not revealing sources, and the upcoming charges and convictions against the leakers.

This story is a definate win for our side and a disaster for the MSM and the Democrats.

I say, "Bring it on!". If the left wants Nixon Redux then let's do it. There's a marked difference between spying on your political enemies and spying on the nation's confessed enemies who have repeatedly attacked us, once with great effect on our own soil.

The entire nation is behind the President on this because it's so simple a child can understand it. The left is so blinded by their hatred that all they see is a chance to "Get Bush". I think this is going to hurt them, and hurt them badly, if they continue to push it. The NYT is already in bunker mode--they know they went too far, like a petulant teenager that finally pushes too hard.
