I lived in Europe for 7 years. All those you spoke of have died off and left the spoiled, welfare-raised brats behind to run the show. And they don't like to have kids.

Steyn offers truth. If Europeans don't have the will to turn off the welfare state, who will pay for it as the recipients age? They're not having kids. Keep that in mind.

Perhaps some smaller nations will survive, but the great European countries are doomed.

You're right. The welfare state is one great pyramid scheme--sooner or later, the merry-go-round has to stop. The pyramid has to run out of money. When it finally does run out of money and resources, the wheels come off, as they have in France and Germany.
