The attempt to destroy Social Security has been successfully blocked

So far. Round two of true ownership and self-responsibility for one's money will come up again.

the movement for withdrawal has captured the majority of the public's support

This is a pot-cloud dream. Most citizens oppose a withdrawal timetable which would seriously jeopardize victory in Iraq. This political reality was evident in two House votes not to legislate a timetable for withdrawal (although the second time House Democrats almost unanimously voted against congratulating the troops for a job well-done, something that will haunt them in 2006).

the mainstream media is slowly rousing from its slumbers

This is a typical moonbat, pot-cloud conspiracy dream. We know that the press has never slumbered in its agenda to slander the president, Republicans, and conservativism in general. The reality is that MSM is becoming less effective in its agenda. The alternative media is supplying the facts the MSM omits or lies about or spins wrongly.

the White House's surveillance state is being revealed

Moonbat heaven is illegal revelation of national security programs to the nation's enemies. I do not understand why libs can't understand national security issues and the Constitution. The beauty of this is that as long as libs stay stuck on stupid regarding international issues, Republicans win, Democrats lose.

there is talk of impeachment in the air

As soon as the NYT reporters are jailed for failure to release the names of their informants, who are traitors, and as soon as the traitorous informants are revealed and their agenda betrayed, the nation will see plainly that liberal Democrats are willing to trade American security and lives for political power. Then there will more than talk of impeachment in the air.

Vice President for Torture Cheney suffered a stinging rebuke when John McCain's torture ban passed

The torture ban was a purely McCanian political expedient, a redundant law prohibiting what was already illegal. That news cycle is over, and that stupid law may be a vulnerability in the future for "I-believe-in-regulating-political-speech" John McCain and his liberal political cronies.

the GOP is mired in corruption and cronyism ( "Jack Abramoff seems to have the whole party on his payroll,"Katha Pollitt writes in her end of year review for The Nation)

Abramoff worked both sides of the aisle and is embarrassing to everyone. The political effects cancel since both parties will work to suppress Abramoff ripples.

What a load of estrogenic hot air.

The antics of the galivanting leftists and their general obnoxiousness don't serve to win new converts to their cause. Instead, they succeed in mobilizing conservative resistance and end by driving more conservatives than liberals to the polls.

Useful idiots like this editorialist are the kind of "friends" you wish on your political rivals. The key to 2008 election victory for Republicans is to encourage radical leftists, especially naive college students, to "take their causes to the streets."

Poor old squinty-eyed, purse-lipped, pinch-faced Katrina. She might have at one time been an attractive woman, but like all liberal women, her anger and seething hatred has shriveled her face into a permanent prune-faced scowl.

If Massachusetts has a "Disparities Solution Center" then utopia must be near at hand.
