Why do you so feel the need to change the subject and beg what everyone else gets away with? I think the point here is that companies and politicians think they're getting away with something for the moment.. just as they thought they'd get away with amnesty programs for millions of illegals being used as cheap labor to undermine the market in the favor of business.. getting away with it.. Not a difficult concept that there can and will be repercussions - people held to account for their actions. You apparently don't want that to be the case. Tough. I can say "live with it" too.

The world has changed since there was a "big three" and your daddy drove either a Ford, Chevy or Plymouth(remember Plymouths?)and competition comes from anywhere. Not all Chinese work for slave labor-just the underclass...children, political prisoners etc. The Chinese who make US products-not just China either. It is strange Kathly Lee was condemned for her sweatshop labor practices a few years ago. Now this sort of behavior is celebrated. China recently launched a face cream made with human skin-executed prisoners I expect. The Chinese are evi, and we should have nothing to do with them. I would love to know exactly what field is safe from the global economy garbage. Jobs are exported or guest workers are imported. Go ahead and get your great education...but you can't get a job that doesn't exist. It is quite interesting to me that Freeper can not see the dangers of globalization in terms of lost jobs and lost sovereignity.
Social Security is going belly up when the Boomers reture. There are only two ways to fix the situation. Privatize Social Security or import enough people to to work and pay social security so the benefits can be paid to the soon to be retired baby boomers.
Illegal immigrants are great for fixing social Security. They pay into social security with their fake Social Security numbers and will never draw a penny.

Why is it if business tries to maxiamize profit, it is some how heroic, but if an ordinary person tries to get the best wage possible and wants his/her family covered with medical insurance or other benefits, this person is greedy and deserves to lose his job? I doubt most of the posters on this forum could live off of 12-14 dollars per hour which is what Adelphi is planning to pay their employees. What all of you fail to see is that if this happens, we could be looking a deflation ie depression. We are witnessing an attempt to destoy the American worker-after they get done with the union worker, they will come after your job. None of us have any value to multi-nationals-it is about making cheap products for cheap prices.
