I can't remember things ever being this dry...our property has been so dry for so long that the horses have ate everything down to the dirt. There is nothing left to burn, which will be a blessing if any fires get started out here. Dirt and rock is all that's left. It's unreal. My backyard has no grass left, like you say it's just worn off. I've never seen it so dry either. Drove by the Arkansas river just below the Keystone dam the other day, and it looked like a mudhole.
You could be right, Rte66, we could be smelling smoke from Bristow here in the north area of Tulsa.
