My sister in north Texas just emailed that Hwy 82 has been closed from Henrietta to Nocona and towns are being evacuated.

I guess with FOX on a Sunday night, thier reporters are recovering from New Years eve, and Ollie North's war stories is about as current as they want to get. Sometimes CNN shines through on breaking news. This is one of those times.

I found the GOES West sector for Oklahoma. I can not get my computer to show any images. Maybe someone else can see if the fires are showing up on satellite.

I'm in northwest Tulsa, and we can smell and see smoke and dust in the air. I think Tulsa may be having some fires inside the city now too. There's also a huge amount of dust in the air.

Say a prayer for us, folks, this is a tinderbox here, and the winds are still high even this late in the evening.

I'm praying for enough rain to solve the problem. Who can imagine...your own home just going up in smoke? Blessings to all the firefighters, from all the states that are helping...

Hopefully Oklahoma will see some of our rain as this storm heads there in a few days. Sorry to hear about the fires there.
