There has never been any shortage of imprudent young women (or men). The difference "today" is that young women have complete freedom to make an @ss of themselves, just as men have always had. (The Founders lamented the same problem with freedom).
Though I detest the behavior, I champion the freedom.
Freedom that is only used to further detestable behavior becomes a liability to the society that goes down that road. Freedom and liberty are wonderful things when practiced responsibly but horrors when practiced without regard for others. And before the libertarians chime in, remember that most libertarians also demand at least a minimum amout of civility and structure to prevent total anarchy because almost everyone grasps that unlimited freedom (i.e, anarchy) is a bad thing.
