This, SS, and taxes seem to be the things you guys base most of your objection on.
You are wrong that Bush has ignored immigration reform. He held a big press conference and outlined his proposal in January, 2004, two years ago. You may not like his proposal but he has made one and has spoken about it several times. He also recently took further action to beef up the border patrol, build more holding and return facilities, and impose stiff new rules about who can come and how long they can legally stay. You cannot with honesty say he has ignored immigration reform.
You complain he has not been successful with SS reform yet you give him no credit for attempting it when no one else even dared for many, many years. It is called the third rail of politics, or touch it and die. He is not through trying either but you not only give him no credit for trying, you blast him for failure without proper consideration of the gauntlet he must run through the suicidal Democrats, rinos, and weenie Republicans. You are being totally unreasonable.
You equally give him no credit for the outstanding job he did in getting meaningful tax cuts through a tough Congress. We all want true tax reform, or at least most of us, but don't denigrate what he has accomplished.
You claim innocence about Bush bashing but in light of the facts you are either Bush bashing or woefully ignorant.
Not so M-n R. I have said a number of times that in spite of his efforts, nothing was done - due to dems' obstruction.
This is not accurate. I posted that I am pleased with the cuts, but that I want more. If you need me to, I'll find the post and link it.
I think there's another possibility; I am criticizing some things about Bush but that does not make me a "basher". Can one not criticize without being a "basher"?
