For daring to create a new dance company in uncertain economic times, and for creative daring as choreographers and performers, we give the nod to Uri Sands and Toni Pierce-Sands.

Another paragraph...........

"The concert's six dances were uncommonly generous in nature and gracious in sensibility, a reflection of the couple's personalities. The choreography offered a fresh, invigorating movement vocabulary. While seamlessly melding African, modern, ballet and vernacular dance styles, underscored by a rhythmic musicality, each work displayed different tone and content. The work was not only intelligent and rigorous, but also emotionally accessible. Hence TU Dance's tremendous popularity."

Can someone translate this for me? They must have typed it fast and I'm a slow reader, or something. Babelfish was of no use.

"Can someone translate this for me?"

Call Mayor Rybak. While you have him on the phone, ask him about the rising crime rate in his city. Ask him about his statement that only risky behaviour will get you killed in Minneapolis.

If I recall my Samuel Johnson, "uncommonly generous in nature" is a polite way to say that someone is fat. Or it could mean that the show lasted too long. I bet it went on to long.

My favorite part is the note that "each work displayed different tone and content." Maybe the reviewer stayed home and is just making stuff up. Could be a Jayson Blair thing in the works at the old Red Star LibLoon.
